You can find or make heartfelt and creative Xmas toys. Each year people are realizing that a happy Christmas does not have to come from a store. Although it may sound cliché, most happy memories cannot be bought. But that does not mean that there will be nothing under the tree when the family gets up on Xmas morning. When we look back on our childhood, we will often remember an activity or time spent with someone before we remember a favorite toy.

If you have a woodworking hobby or like to sew, this may be a no-brainer for you. You can create something from a block of wood or a piece of fabric. Some people are not always that creative or crafty. So what can those people do? There are a lot of books that have rainy Sunday afternoon ideas, so maybe this is something that you can do with your child on Christmas Day. You can involve the entire family in making a fort in the middle of the living room and let your child decide on the game that you will all play together.

It is not to say that you cannot buy anything for your child, you might want to include some water guns or some dress up costumes to go along with your fort idea. Children all love something to unwrap but they immediately want someone to play with so that they can play with their new toys. Unless they have siblings of their own age, they will be waiting several days until their friends are available.

There many other ideas that follows along these lines. The point is that although you may not have a lot to put under this tree this year, it does not mean that you cannot give your child and the rest of your family a memorable Christmas. Maybe you can decide that the entire Christmas Day is going to be a play day for the family, so that everyone can “play” with their new Xmas loot. Your entire family will remember that a lot longer than a couple hours of frenzied greed as family members unwrap too many impersonal gifts. Check out our range of Xmas toys
