The vivid imagination of conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie brought to life the characters and worlds envisioned by George Lucas. McQuarrie's paintings and drawings were instrumental in the push to bring Lucas's saga to the big screen, giving shape and form to a multitude of fantastic individuals, creatures, planets and technology encompassed in this epic tale. Developed in collaboration with McQuarrie himself, this remarkable action figure series pays tribute to the man whose art defined some of the most memorable characters in film history. The Stormtrooper's uniform was modified for different environments, yet retains the uniformity captured by McQuarrie in his art. Snowtroopers have additional head, chest, and leg coverings to insulate them against the cold and help them to blend into snowy surroundings. This detailed figure comes with a weapon and an exclusive collector coin. Measures 3.75" tall.

Something different

This figure is fantastic all around. Posing it in all sorts of battle positions is easy. It has great articulation in the arms, head, waist, and legs, although standing it up is hard because there is no articulation in the ankles. I like this figure's paint job and sculpt, it's just something different from the standard stormtrooper or clonetrooper. Plus, its face mask can be removed, for warmer climates, I suppose. After popping off the head, you can also remove its backpack, making it a a very customizable figure, with more accessories than you'd think. It's weapon is easily gripped by the figure, and its sling makes it easy to store on the figure's back without being cumbersome. Since it is a McQuarrie figure and not seen in the movies, you can recreate scenes of your own making, which is endlessly entertaining. Finally, this figure carries through with Hasbro's renowned durability, making it young-child proof. Looks cool, plays well, and can be mixed up, this figure is definitely for everyone, very fun!

I love the idea behind this. It's so seldom that we see anything regarding Ralph McQuarrie's concept art for the original Star Wars. These figures are a great representation of what might have been. I particularly like the snowtrooper's dirty look. He doesn't stand very well, but he can be posed - I have mine in a running position. The figure itself is highly posable and has great detail. Easily one of my favorites.
